    Have they ever supported G-sync?
The problem is that you need a PCB with controllers and stuff to do the G-Sync magic on notebook displays. So far I havent seen any notebooks with that. Who knows, maybe someone will add it this year?

Oh i was talking about external displays, i have a pg278Q and was hoping to ditch the desktop this gen. I know at first the 870m/880m supported gsync but it was removed later on.

It will perform the same. More VRAM doesn't increase performance. The 6GB variant may last longer, though. As in, it will be more "future proof."

Does Anyone here have any leaks/ inside information on - whether Clevo will be updating their models?

XoticPC: All of them are last year's models. They are just giving an option to upgrade the GPU by replacing the 880M.
CLEVO website: They haven't updated anything.

I thought Clevo will update all their models w.r.t new GPUs which they usually do (Build design, mobo, power, cooling, weight parameters). I thought the new models will be lighter, with new port design, architecture with cooling updates not to mention a smaller power adapter due to new GPUs.They haven't done it this time and thats frustrating. Are they still under some NDA or they will only replace GPU's using the last year's models? Information from users and resellers appreciated. :hi2:

OriginPC EVO15-S has an option for 970M 6GB now

EVO15-S Ultra Thin Gaming Laptop - ORIGIN PC

I was considering this laptop since its uses GS60 Ghost Pro shell but never decided since the person who ordered it cancelled due to the rumors of 900M coming out soon a month back or so. Hopefully, someone will get one and do a review this time around. =)

Why the new Aorus X7 can't have each single 970M card come with 6GVRAM? That should be good for future. Or are they afraid the new set up is gonna boom? Or the current information is not correct?

Do u have any idea what's the deal of Origin PC, some said is just a front of some other laptop and OPC charge a sky high price?

Good news, MSI GS60 Ghost Pro will also have versions with 1080p screens and 6 GB VRAM GTX 970M:

MSI USA GS60 Ghost Pro (GTX 970M)

Sidenote: as graphics programmer I recommend to get 6 GB / 8 GB versions of GTX 970m / 980m. Independently of what you think of the current games requirements / quality of console ports, modern graphics techniques in future games titles will benefit from more VRAM (screen resolution / framebuffer size is only small part of the story, extrapolating requirements solely based on resolutions, textures and techniques used in current games is wrong).

I'm looking at xotic or origin. The main thing holding me back is getting the IC Diamond put onto the GPU/CPU along with the Killer Wireless. Those 2 are tipping Xotic in favor for me. It is hard because I really want the Origin :(

Why do you want the Origin one over the MSI? Are they not the same thing? Just curious ...

Do you know where to get the Gold Edition 1080p 15.6 with 970m and 6GB VRAM?

Why do you want origin so bad? Am I missing something. Do you just like the logo.

I might pick one of these today.

The only thing hanging me back is possibly going with 970m SLI. Slick and powerful still very nice ...

I don't know why the pricing is so high this time. It was actually cheaper back then I believe.

You can email OriginPC CS and request for IC Diamond. They will tell you they use something else but if you ask nicely they will do it for you.

OriginPC was actually cheaper than MSI and it looks way better, IMHO. Plus, with MSI, you have to order the 3-4k LCD version to get 900M compared to OriginPC where its 1080p. Windows sucks at font upscaling currently and I have no need for 3 or 4K LCD when I will game in 1080p.

So then it just comes down to Killer wireless?

I was able to get the MSI 1080p with 970 6gb no problem. Price is actually comparable to Origin.

Given how important Wifi is to me, I think the MSI wins out. I checked with Origin just now and they can't customize on that.

A comment in this thread has me wondering - will a GTX 970/980m support GSYNC via displayport to an external display?

    I'm getting mine from Xotic.
It has the Killer card and 1080P. They can do rush processing.
I've placed my order and will be watching it go. Though I didn't rush process it.

    In Neverland?

Unless you sip tea or play golf with the CEO of the manufacturers or retailers, you're not getting anything right now. Do you have any idea how many orders they have to fill before allowing customers to grab them...? Spamming this thread is not going to help you get it any faster.

Those laptops are a bit overpriced, lol.

Did they make desktop Maxwell cheaper and mobile Maxwell more expensive?

I've been scouring YouTube for videos but everyone is misleading us by writing "980M" in the titles and gaming with lower cards, lol.
