Sorry if these are "dumb" questions but
Does this card do the Physx?
Can this card run Crysis?
Are there any comparable cards out there? I've basically read a few good things about this card and I've now been only considering laptops that have it. I'm wondering if there are any other cards I should also consider.
I'm in the $1200-$1400 price range.

yes, yes, ATI 4870?

Thanks.
A few more questions...
The Phsyx is unique to Nvidia right? Is it worth it?
Which card is better?
Can you provide me with a few laptops that offer that ATI card? I don't think I've come across it. -
Physx is better on dual GPU setups since for a single GPU, it can decrease performance quite a lot depending on the game. You will also want to look at the GTX280M.
Some say they still get good performance on their systems that are equipped with 9800M / GTX / GTS and 8800M.
The GTX260M will run Crysis but you are better of at medium settings as opposed to everything high. -
4850 is comparable
-
ohhhhh i was so close. =/ I knew it was a 4800 series
-
It wouldn't be impossible to average 30 FPS in Crysis on high. The 4850 is nearly neck and neck, found in the MSI GT729. The Sager NP8662 can be had at a good discount, if the 260M is enough to suit your needs for a couple years (it could be).
Physx is a waste, nothing more. -

i haven't ran a single 280m on crysis on high.
i wonder what i would get? -
At 1680 x 1050, with my current clocks, 31-32 FPS in the bechmark. If you ran the 260M a little harder, it would make the mark.

I found a nice article tseting the Physx in "practical gaming". Check for your self if it's a waste or not.
