Is there a way to flash my GTX 480m to any corresponding Quadro card,,,thanks in advance

You can, but I think nvidia purposively modded the silicon of retail GeForce GTX's so when you flash to the quadro version you will not receive the performance boost in CAD apps

AFAIK, nv introduced some stuff in their hardware that prevented this hack a few years ago. I have read a few such threads but never seen this being done successfully after the 9xxxm series.

But I remembered that you can flash a 9800 or a 9600GT to a 260M?

Yes you can, but you can't flash a 480m to a quadro, or if it works it wont help you. Its been done.
If your looking for a quadro you should buy a k5000m. -
I have the FirePro 8900 but every laptop I put it in its read as 6970m, also how good is the k5000m at running NX Nastran 8?
And I have a 7970m...can I flash that to a FirePRO?
Thanks everyone -
Star Forge Quaggan's Creed Redux!
It has to be a direct FirePro equivalent. Meaning the M8900 hardware-wise was basically a 6970M without a CF link slot. In that case cross-flashing will work. However, there is no direct FirePro equivalent hardware-wise for the 7970M. Therefore, it is not feasible unless AMD/ATI releases a FirePro equivalent for the 7970M. -
One last question, if I bought a GTX 680m could I flash it to the k5000m card?
Thanks -
Same as 480M-->quadro
