Has anyone successfully overclocked the Gtx68om on their P170hm?

I was reading about svl7s modified Bios for the GTX 680M but in the faq it says '' DON’T USE THIS VERSION ON SYSTEMS BASED ON THE CLEVO P1x0HM SERIES!!!''

So it looks like it is only for P170em series and others. MSI Afterburner allows me to change the clocks speed but my monitoring software and logs show they remain at default. So if anyone has any ideas or has done this please let me know. It would be nice to get a bit more out of this even though it has been performing well in the last 2 years.

Dump the VBIOS from your card -> edit the clocks in it -> flash the modified VBIOS back to the card.

I have no idea how to determine maximal stable clocks though.

Thanks for the suggestion, I didn't think of that. I think this guide seems to have everything I need to do that.

This post had the same question being asked on a different forum and some really good info in the response.

I didn't reflash my GPU Bios but after installing the recent Msi Afterburner it now overclocks. It was Msi Afterburner Version 4.1.0.7013 [compiled on 06-12-2014 15:02:58]

At the moment I have GPU Core Clock [MHz] at 757.7 and GPU Memory Clock [MHz] at 925.7. I will experiment to see how it goes. I'm not sure why it suddenly works. The temperature logs show it has worked where as before the logs didn't match what Msi was showing.

My Subwoofer that is activated by Fn+5 has also started working. I think most can't get THX Trustudio pro to work under Windows 8.1 with their P170HM.
