I will be investing in a laptop with a 900m series card but I need help understanding how I will be gaming in 3d using a passive 3d tv external monitor. The first step is understanding how to get 3dvision enabled on these types of cards since 3d vision is no longer supported. I was on the Nvidia forum and it seems people have it working but when asked how they mentioned Prema's bios mod.
I made this thread because when I searched here I did not find a thread dedicated to this and if there is a thread already I apologize in advance for making a extra. My kids and I enjoy putting our 3d tv to work and I plan on gaming in 3d when I purchase a new family workstation that uses nvidia gtx900m graphics. Can someone drop me a clue on what needs to be done to get this going?
Edit: dug up more info on this and apparently to get this working on any 3dtv I need this:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/3dtv-play-overview.html
Its a separate software that can be purchased and will allow all nvidia 3dvision games/movies/photos on pretty much any 3dtv with hdmi. I didn't upgrade my laptop yet because I'm still deciding on what to get but at least I know whats going on now with this 3d stuff. I will update this when I get everything together including a new notebook with nvidia. My current notebook is a amd and amd uses a different software for 3d gaming. This got my interest since the next pc I have will more than likely have nvidia graphics.
I hope this little post will help those of you who had questions about this.
