gamecopyworld and megagames should have solutions for your problem, any more elaboration and I'll start to fall foul of the forum regulations.

I suggest you Google things that you're looking for, as I am uncertain of the legality of no-CD cracks. They are out there, though.

No-CD cracks are used by pirates who don't own the original game. But when you own a game, and all the files are on your computer, I see no reason why you should need the CD with you. Some companies may disagree, but it's a pretty regular thing nowadays to have cracks for legal games.

Most new games require you to have the CD in the drive while playing...I suppose its to crack down on piracy....Its kinda annoying thought cause i dont want to carry around 5/6 games in my laptop bag everywhere in case i get the urge to play one...Thats why Steam is handy for some games..you buy the game online and download it..No Cd and your games are stored in on your HDD and you can continue your saved game on another computer if you have the game and steam installed..

Edit: If i mount the CD as Iso file would that work?

If you use something akin to Daemon Tools, you should be able to use an ISO file to count as the CD. I don't know the details on how it all works so I suggest checking out a few sites to see how it all works.

Actually that's why a lot of Cracks are around, because the ISO file that is created doesn't work, since anti-piracy in games has gotten so good they can know if it is an actual CD or an image file.

Anyways, yeah I agree with Alyxis', I don't buy many games retail anymore, but I have over 60 games on my Steam account. I really don't deal with CD's much anymore.

Plus i have found the price difference is almost 50% Cheaper to buy online than in store where they continue to charge outrageous prices..the Standard prices here is 55/60 Euro where online deals tend to be 20/25 euro even lower with special offers..Example Steam were offering the "Orange Box" for 7.99 or something close to that while local retailers still persist on charging 45euro?? Absolutely crazy...

With notebooks gaining more and more popularity, it is not very reasonable to expect people to insert CD's or DVD's any more. And for desktops too, nobody wants to fish out their CD or DVD to play one of their dozen games. Music is the same way with digital downloads. CD's and DVD's will go the way of cassette tapes, as well as they should. This is why Steam and Direct 2 Drive are doing well.

I think developers are seeing this, and DRM in general, although it will be debated forever, is useless. I think it cuts back on casual piracy like little Johnny just making a copy and giving it to little Joey. But if someone really wants a game and doesn't want to pay for it, there will always be ways. Pirates also look at it as a challenge, who can do it first and best.

BTW, I expect this thread to be closed very soon (surprised it has been open this long) since any talks of no-CD or ISO cracks are not permitted.

One way or another, we don't allow discussion of this type of hack/crack whatever you want to call it, since 99 times out of 100 it's used to pirate games. We close torrent discussion threads for the same reason.
