I had an issue with one of my account secret questions that you're asked each time you use a new IP, so I called them using Google Voice and compared to Blizzard / STO or any other video-game company, they're A+ in quality.

By the time I was done entering the options for the proper department, it was 2 minutes~. Was on hold for 15-30 seconds and BAM, a rep on the phone. The rep resolved my issue in a few minutes and the call ended after 7 minutes with my problem resolved via Google Voice.

Compared to Blizzard (45 minutes on hold) and STO (2-3 hours), Bioware is the king of customer service.

    What are your experiences like?

Blizzard = good (email not phone)
Bioware = ok (email and in-game)
Steam in general = terrible (email)

Haven't dealt with any on the phone.

Hmm I've really liked Blizzard's customer service. I've never had to contact BioWare for customer service, but I generally have a distaste for them because of all the hoops I have to jump through when playing their games. I had plenty of issues with my accounts and DLC; it would be easier to just pirate the stuff. They also have a reputation for being rather tyrannical and banning people unexpectedly (see their wikipedia page and a more recent event involving a meme).

The worst customer service I experienced was EA. I had an issue with a CD-Key and they took a WEEK to respond by email. They even advertised that it would take under 24 hours.

I concur - waited 2/3 days for an email reply to unlock my account.

EA email and chat supports are actually surprisingly good, at least me personally.

I hate the Steam ticket support system, or any in general. What ticks me off with Steams' is that it takes FOREVER for them to respond. They get the job done, but at a snail's pace.

I have no problems with Blizzard's support. One thing, they have phone support, and can fix any problem as long as you have your CD key. I tend to lose/switch authenticators so I call them occasionally.

Steam is the absolute worst customer service.

They take 4-5 days to respond to my tickets every time :p

EA Chat Support is also something to avoid. I usually have to go through 15 people to get 1 simple issue resolved. EA Phone is MUCH better.

I forgot to add that in the last 3 tickets I made to Bioware, they responded via e-mail in less than 15 minutes (directly through their website). Epic service :p

Reason I'm so excited with their service is because it's one of those rare things you appreciate from a company. You actually feel like they care about customers.

I'm fine with Blizzard's support system.

I hate NCSoft's email and phone support to the point that I'll never buy any of their products ever again.

I am going to have to go with the same consensus on Steam here, I started a Ticket on the 16th of this month, because my Civ 5 GOTY edition isn't showing up as such, shows up as just the standard version. Took 1 day to get a reply, but he just told me how to access my DLC and stuff that I was supposed to have, I emailed back saying that he didn't get my question, and re-worded it. No response till the 20th where they confirmed that I did indeed purchase the GOTY edition and asked for screen shots. Gave them to him and then took 5 days for him to respond telling me they are looking into the issue further. It's been 11 days and still no GOTY edition in my account. Really, it's been longer because I bought it Dec 27th, but I just recently notice that I was missing this error. So it's been two months without the right game.

So first response was fast, then the gaps increased as time went on.
