(forum has no search option again - I'm sure this is here some where)

Does anyone use Game Jackel? The idea behind this program is nice and possibly a more 'official' way to play games without our CD\DVD's in the drive. Games being so expensive now a days it worries me about scratching beyond repair my discs. Mass Effect sure had it right, thanks Bioware for being kind to your financial supporters, your customers!

I tried Game Jackal (I think there is a trial period) but still prefer using a no-CD/DVD "fix". Game Jackal didn't always work for me. Besides, AFAIK, a no-CD/DVD fix is not illegal as long as you legally own the game.

It's a gray area, but if it's a system that requires you to own the disk, and gets rid of the annoying parts of having to own the disk - then doesn't everybody win?

These guys should license their software to publishers. They'd make such a killing if they were getting a nice cut from the industry leaders instead of carving out a little niche.
