I have installed a game on my laptop and what to put it on another laptop but I have lost the Instruction Booklet with the CD key on it. Is there any way to put the game on the other laptop?

    Here are a couple options.
-Contact the publisher, it's not likely but if you have a reciept/case/disk they might help you out.
-I use a key ripper for windows when I work on peoples computers. It will grab the key off the installed software. You may be able to find one for games.
-There are websites you can find keys, however this isn't the forum for discussing those. do a web search.
-Find the key in your registry/program.

I always write keys on the disk, it is much less likely that I will lose the disk than the other stuff. Additionally, I probably wont have to worry about reinstalling in the disk is missing ;)

Depending on the game, you might be able to find the key in your registry.

For Unreal Tournament 2004, for example, go to Start > Run > Regedit> HKEY_Local_Machine > Software > Unreal Technology > Installed Apps > UT2004. Now on the right hand panel you can see registry values, on of them may say "CDkey" and then its data is the cd key you typed in.
