    Game freezes pc up. help

    I got empire earth 2 off the net and everytime i try to start playing, when i get into a game, somtime within 30 secs or so it will lock the computer up and im forced to turn it off and reboot. any help would be greatly appreciated.

    radeon 9200, windows xp, 3.2 ghz, 512 mb memory, pretty dated computer i guess. i ran a couple virus scanners and spy bot sd and it got rid of alot of viruses i guess. i also have a problem with updating my video card. every time i try to update it, ill go through the steps and finally reboot, but when i check the version number, it will stay the same.
