    Hello

I play LOTRO, and i was playing it fine everyday until my lap got the black screen of death, you know black screen without any deskop programs or image at all (but i have the mouse and the start up bar)
However the system seems to function normally, i can use the internet and other programs via search on start menu
But whenever i try to play lotro i get an error(wasnt getting that before the black screen) therefore i cant log in and play

Any ideas/advice would be welcome, because i am thinking if i should re-instal(note the whole installing and downloading takes more than 7h) or just wait in case there is a solution

    The error code is

Obvious question: Have you tried running the launched with administrator privileges. Some game launchers require that you right click them and run them as admin.Sometimes, it is due to an update or the way the launcher is made. The launcher for the wakfu beta requires admin rights for example (it annoys me to no end), but the one for Guild Wars doesn't except for one or two updates that did require admin rights.

Depending on how the game is made, there might be shortcuts to reinstalling. I'll take GW as an example since i used to play it a lot and know the tricks to reinstalling it well. All textures etc. are stored in a single .dat file and when you reinstall, you just have to move the .dat file to another location, download the client, launch it so it creates the .cat file. Once the new .dat file is created, close the launcher and replace it with the old .dat file you previously moved. It might be possible to similarly recover some for the game data for lotro, you should look it up on google or the lotro forums.
