Game playthroughs.

So does anyone watch playthroughs of games you can't play (i.e. console exclusives?) My friend told me he started "watching" games a while back and i thought that was weird at the time, but now i understand what he meant. I just watched the playthrough of god of war 3 and i must admit it was pretty entertaining and interesting.

 

I mostly watch commentated gameplay "Like a match from Call of Duty" or something similar, because I find those entertaining to watch.

But as for watching a complete walk through for a game, I only watched Gears of War 2 because I didn't want to play it "I didn't like it that much", but I wanted to see how the story turned out. And I also watched Uncharted 2 because I don't have a PS3, and the story line was really good.

 

I watched playthroughs in Guild Wars to see what builds other guilds were using in GvG or Tombs. It's boring when you're not participating. Watching a single player game playthrough is like for me

 

Haha, thats what i used to think too but watching god of war 3 was pretty entertaining, except the parts where he has to fight like 100 enemies for 10 mins straight, that got a bit boring.

And other than that i watch alot of youtube sf4 (im a pretty avid fan of the franchise), mainly because watching pros play makes me go "holy crap i didn't know that was even possible"

Im addicted to watching SC2 Beta matches w/commentary. Mostly high level play though.

This is similar to game playthroughs? Maybe?

 

Same with watching SC2 beta matches Especially with the commentaries. Really made me think twice about my playstyles too

 

I'm watching the Metro 2033 playthrough. I suck at stealth, so I gave up on the Nazi vs Commies level

 

I'm a big fan of pretty much any of the evo tournament videos and speed runs.
