While I am waiting for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion to be released...I was interested in some feedback from the laptop folks on their recommendations for a good, fun game for a laptop. I want something that isnt just a shoot-em-up DOOM style game, but I would love to see something with some excellent graphics. Any suggestions? Thanks for your feedback!

world of warcraft? city of villians is coming out soon. both are addicting. most fun games are FPS's. unless you think RTS's are fun. they tend to be boring for me

WoW and CoV are both pay to play games. If you want a non-pay to play RPG for the PC, try Fable: The Lost Chapters and Guild Wars. Both games have amazing graphics, and Guild Wars is free to play online.

Fable is offline, but has stunning graphics and is very fun to play. I haven't finished it yet, but the game has not been disappointing so far.

I was also considering Fable. I read a little about it and wondered if this was an expansion to the earlier game or if I could start up with this new release?

    Guild Wars is great.

As for Oblivion, I will be surprised if my laptop plays it at reasonable settings.

i hope the x700 will play it at reasonable settings, but we probably need some kind of mirical, or for it to use 64bit, it dose use dule core though.

Well... last I heard it was having some minor frame rate problems on the xbox 360 which is a triple core 3.2Ghz CPU, 700MHZ DDR3 memory and a GPU thats probably on par with the ATI X1900. So if they make it anything like the 360 version, it's gonna take some major power.
