I was running Warcraft III on my 1000H with 2G of memory.

I would highly recommend some of the older games like
starcraft, warcraft 3, age of empires and the likes.
They are classics for a reason -
Quake 3, Star Wars Jedi Knight / Jedi Academy, or anything that's made before 2003. I also second Diner Dash if you don't have it yet on the PSP or DS.

My site, I kind of stopped updating since a while, since I bought my Asus N10J netbook with 9300m GPU. But have plans to revamp it and include the rest of the netbook games I have listed with a little better interface. It might at least give you an idea of games to try.
Best games so far I've found are:
Action:
Return to Castle Wolfenstein
Aliens vs Predator 2
No One Lives Forever 2
Quake 3 Arena
Operation Flashpoint
Raven Shield
Grand Theft Auto Vice City
Far Cry
Freelancer
Strategy:
Age of Empires 2
Warcraft 3
Battle for Middle Earth series
Dawn of War Series
Galactic Civilizations 2
All run well, some on minimum, some on medium. See my recommendations. -
oh! thankyou these are very nice suggestions

Does anyone know if Battlefield Heroes and Quake Live will be able to run on netbooks? what if you overclock to 2.1 GHz and add 2 GB of Ram and 7200 PRM HD?
Also what about S4 League.. its a free popular online shooter. Like Gunz but better; http://s4.en.alaplaya.eu/ -
try open arena too. its a free version of quake 3 arena basicly.
