Yeah I couldn't think of a better title.

I want to buy a game that has mods. A game like Half Life 2, a game that people can modify.

I want it to run smoothly on my system because I want to be able to help create mods.

I know of games such as:
    -Oblivion
    -Morrowind
    -Half Life
    -Half Life 2

These however are the only games that I know of that has the ability to make mods for. Which of these games or if there are any others that someone can recommend, should I get?

I understand my sentence structure is absolutely terrible because I'm sleepy I hope it's understandable though.

    Thank You,
    -Taylor

Have you looked at the Bf 1942 series? It's got a huge modding following.

Several members of the Desert Conflict (combat?) mod team went on to work on the BF2 project I believe.

There's tons of mod tool kits and tutorials on the work to be done. BF2 is similar in scope of Mods. I doubt either will run poorly on your system.

Not to mention both are super cheap to come by now a days.

If you like TES games, I highly recommend you check out Mount&Blade. It's still in beta I believe, but it has a very good mod following.
