A few days ago I bought Sam and Max Season 1 and now I'm trying to install it on my laptop but right after I click "Install Game" the "Install Game Screen" freezes and nothing happens. I tried this a few times and now when I put the CD in the drive it makes a weird loud spinning noise.

I don't have any other games to try and I haven't installed anything from the CD drive yet (laptop is new) but DVD movies work just fine. The laptop runs Vista and the system requirements for the game says windows xp/vista.

Any suggestions as to why this is happening? I'm going to try the game CD on my work PC tomorrow..just in case it's the CD...

    Thanks.

any chance of telling us your system spec.

try putting the disc in the drive and instead of clicking run click open file and then look for auto run. doing it manualy like this sometimes works.
if that dont work double click on my computer. right click on the cd drive with the game in and press install or run program or open auto play. this will bring up the same box that normally appears when putting disc in drive and try the above again.

Specs: ASUS F8Va-B1 Intel Core 2 Duo P8400 (2.26GHz) , 14.1" WXGA+ (1440x900) Display, 4GB DDR2 Memory, 250GB Hard Drive, DVD Super Multi Drive, ATI HD 3650 1GB (1024MB) Graphics Card, Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium

I tried going to my computer and clicking from there but the install screen still freezes...also the CD drive keeps spinning when I put the game in. BTW..it's a new game, right out of the box.

try instead of allowing the auto load screen up, navigate onto the disc, (right click --> explore) and run setup.exe
