GameStop is the largest North American video game retailer, but it looks like they are in quite a bit of trouble. A new report shows that Game Stop reported a nearly 500 million dollar loss for the last quarter. How bad is it? Let's talk.

Gamestop barely sells games any more. Half their stores are filled with Funko Pop figures and other crap.

Gamestop was crap even 15 years ago when I got my first Gameboy Color.

I think the other reason is that digital is gaining ground and a lot of popular games are multi only with codes.
Overall I think it's good as the game devs were losing money on GameStop's predatory used game strategy. They had to know they were just biting the hand that was feeding it and it was going to come to a reckoning sooner or later as publishers moved to strategies to try to minimize its impact.hmscott likes this. -
Don't forget, too many stores was a pyramid scheme that caught a lot of retail during the recession, GS among them, and they have been behind the market in closing outlets. My fearless prediction is they adapt or die, either way there is no GS as it exists now in a few years. Let us not worry though, the scumbags that run the place will leave with their golden parachutes if they fail. No need to worry about the rich people who made it all happen.

I hope they die soon, they’re predatory in every sense of the word.
