For those of you who aren't working, or is off from school for holiday and winter break, here's something for you to play!
James Cameron’s Avatar
Genre: Action/Adventure
Release Date: Released
James Cameron makes great movies, but what about video games? Ubisoft, the company known for series such as Assassin’s Creed, Tom Clancy’s, Prince of Persia, Far Cry, along with other famous titles such as Dogz, Catz, Petz Horsez, and more, brings you James Cameron’s Avatar. This game is an action adventure game. This game is a combination of Crysis in third person and Devil May Cry. The story, in short, involves your character going to a place called Pandora, and trying to fight for the land and minerals there. You can either help fellow human soldiers to invade the land, or help the native creatures to defend it. Graphics is top-notch, and according to IGN, the game can be played/viewed in 3D if you have a 3D compatible TV/monitor. I cannot say anything about the gameplay because I haven’t actually played the game, but many game sites say that the story is not that interesting.

Mass Effect 2
Genre: Action RPG
Release Date: Jan 26, 2010
Sequel to Mass Effect comes… Mass Effect 2. The story picks up where you left off in Mass Effect, and even reads your saved files of Mass Effect to adjust the story based on the decisions you made in the first game. So be sure to find those saved files! Gameplay is just like the predecessor, but graphics is more refined, therefore increasing performance. If you liked Mass Effect, you will like Mass Effect 2. Game features nine new weapon classes. Definitely something to pick up if you were a Mass Effect fan.

Bioshock 2
Genre: Action RPG/FPS
Release Date: Feb 9, 2010
In the sequel to Bioshock, you get to play as a Big Daddy (one of those bad***es with a drill on one hand). The graphics is similar to the predecessor, but there are a few tweaks. In terms of gameplay adjustments – you are allowed to use a plasmid and a weapon simultaneously without having to switch between them back and forth; also, hacking is made much much easier. Of course there are more gameplay changes, but those are two of few released to the general public. The story takes place ten years after the first game. The city of Rapture now has a new ruler who emphasizes cooperative effort. Yes, this is another one of those games, as if all the games about Socialism, Utopianism, and nuclear destruction were not enough.

I don't know about Avatar. Reviews have genearlly been pretty mediocre.
I'm really looking forward to Mass Effect. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 comes out in March. And then there is Assassins Creed II. And hopefully SC2 sometime before Q2. -
AvP is where its at... gonna have really good multiplayer if its any improvement to the past games... and not too long until Aliens: Colonial Marines \m/

Can't wait for Mass Effect 2. First one was absolutely brilliant.

But yes, Bioshock 2 and Mass Effect 2 will most definitely be worth picking up. And Aliens vs. Predator is on my list, too.Last edited by a moderator: May 8, 2015 -

DiRT 2!! It's damn nice!! Just now, I tested it out!
I think it's still very hard for a Laptop(even it's hard for a Desktop too) to perform it in decent FPS on Ultra Setting with Maximal Resolution. -
Psh, it is going to be L4D2 all winter long for me.
