Games most anticipating (For PC)

For me it's Starcraft 2 and Battlefield 1943 this year then Alien vs Predator next year? What are you guys looking forward to?

Street Fighter IV, Modern Warfare 2 , Assassin's Creed 2, Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Conviction, Battlefield Bad Company 2 and Bioshock 2 for me... Can't wait!!!

 

Pretty sure D3 and SC2 should make most people's lists since I keep seeing threads in the :"What should I buy" section and the only game requirements half the time are "it should be able to run D3 and SC2" lol

Personally, I'm not that up to date with games coming for the PC, but I'm looking forward to Dragon Age(hope I didn't get mixed up with another game lol ) since it's Bioware and Bioware mad a great job of KotOR so I hope they do well again in another setting ^_^

 

Do not forget Left 4 Dead 2!, I am really anxious to play it.

LOL, why does everyone think i am in love with that game. It was my first PC game whatta yu expect.

Well yeah. Its gonna be phenomenal, and Aeris, the game is gonna run ALOT!!! smoother than Crysis 1 and Warhead put toghether.

Remember they had to seriously downgrade the visuals so that it may run on the consoles. So we can expect FPS rates to be alot higher in the sequel, so no worries there.

I say any laptop that can play Crysis on high at native res, can play Crysis 2 on very high at native as well. That might be exaggerating a bit, but maybe not, CryEngine 3 is more like CryEngine 1.5 IMHO.

 

Are you serious?, that means very good news to me, and a relief at the same time.

Nice, mine can run Crysis at High at 1920x1200!

 

Haha, its good new to us because we are not uber PC gaming veterans. But to those who like to push there hardware to the limit and have 3 GTX 285's in Tri SLI it is not good.

The true enthusiasts want the graphics to get better, so that they have to get better hardware and go crazy over it. Me and you on the other hand, and most of the NBR crew want the game to run better on our machines.

I just hope they keep the open world game play, and make the game play even better, with more suit powers and abilities.

Its just a bit of a shame that no real games have given many 88xx series GPU users to upgrade. Most games can be maxed out as is, back in the day I remember my cousin would buy a new GPU every 6 Months!!!!!!

Anyways, Aeris do not worry about the game being more demanding, it will be a lot less demanding and run better, but it won't look as good.

I agree, the 8 series are still running strong, and yes, the updating was so much steadier back then, hah.

Those are good news to me, since I won't build my Desktop Computer until Spring 2010.

I doubt that I will notice any difference, actually, I cannot notice any important differences in Far Cry 2 from Very High to Ultra High, seriously, hehe.

I also forgot to say i am also looking forward to Assassin's Creed 2 as well.

The game looks very beautiful, and i like the Renaissance art style they have implemented into the game.

Just hope it does not end up being repetitive like i heard Assassin's Creed was. Man 2009 and 2010 are going to be busy times for the gaming industry. Too bad 2012 is coming. LOL jking.

diablo 3

mortal online - any updates on this game? i'm really hoping it will live up to it's "ultima online of 2009" hype. really tired of the WoW-type of PvP games. i'm ready for a PvP-type game that actually requires skills to play like ultima online.

maybe starcraft - i haven't played an SC-type game in a while.

i've never heard of dragon age origins, but the trailers look pretty cool.

 

Dont care too much for SC2, CoH is already teh best RTS that could ever be made...

For me S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Call of Pripyat out in the Fall, yay!! can't wait. I am concerned about Crysis 2 as it will be developed for consoles as well. I fear this may be the end of Crysis. BioShock 2 looks good. Most of all I await Ghostbusters: The Game. XD Delayed to the 23rd of June for PC. Hurry up already!!!!

Is it a bit far fetched to be hoping for a PC release of the FF 13 series? be it versus or just 13. I really do hope PC gets more JRPG, western type RPGs are fun and all, but JRPGs have their strong points too.

 

I'm looking forward to Call of Duty - Modern Warfare 2 (Infinity Ward is back!) and the Blizzard games - Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3.

 

I can't wait for Star Trek Online myself.... might be this year.. maybe next.. they aren't sure,,, still not sure if I want Star Wars: The Old Republic or Star Trek Online more... depends how they turn out I guess.

 

Starcraft 2 , Diablo 3 and Dragon Age.Although I think DA is gonna be a failure...I have been following it since they announced it way back but lately its looked more like an action game rather than a successor to Baldur's Gate 2 (which is my no1 game of all time).
