    I'll start:

I don't like these games: (I guess relating to PC game only)

Starcraft 2, Portal 2, Call of Duty franchise, Civilization franchise, Final Fantasy franchise, and that it for now, will update later when I get more input from you guys.

Your turn and let keep this thread rolling :p

Final Fantasy for one. Most RPG games, i just gave DA : O a shot and it bored me. I also tried Fallout 3 when it came out and did not like it. The only RPG game i liked was Fable The Lost Chapters. Also not very fond of Counter Strike games, they are good but honestly i even find CoD multiplayer better, and it cant even compare with Battlefield.

fps in general, I was too good at the first counter strike, and maybe have played it enough that all things are the same.

However playing fps with friends is a good thing, just did when codBO got the weekend free trial, although it annoyed me to no end that people used the noob tube too much

sports games in general (I dont want to game that, I want to play the real thing)

    Sorry for no multi quote...

That funny, I love DA: O, hate Fallout 3, and absolute hate Fable 3.

    I totally agree.
DA:O was AMAZING. I probably put more than 100 hours into it xD
    DA II was terrible
Fallout 3: I liked the mechanics and the story, but it just bored the hell out of me for some reason.
Fable 3 was ridiculously terrible. 1 and 2 were awesome though.

I like the CoD franchise although part of that could be because the only one I've ever actually played is Modern Warfare. I still play it and love it. Have wanted to buy Black Ops, just haven't wanted to shell out the $60. Maybe now that it's down to $45 on Steam, I'll grab it and try it out.

all sim-style racing games. Mario Kart is cool, but I have no desire to play games like Dirt, grand turismo, or anything like that.

Really? The FEAR franchise is amazing! Can't speak for the third installment, but the first 2 were great :)
L4D is fun too when you have friends to play with. Not so much when you play with random people who either sit there and twiddle their thumbs or yell at you for not doing exactly what they want you to do xD

I don't like modern day, soldier type first person shooters, sports and racing pc games.

I only like RPGs' (dark, medieval themed), 3rd person RPGs', stealth action, suspense like the Thief franchise (the dark project, deadly shadows, the metal age)...

10 yrs. ago the only fps I liked was "Unreal". I also like FEAR 1.

I've had SC1 a decade ago, not the biggest fan, and same as with SC2. Though I play it occasionally.

The first part of that shouts out Elder Scrolls to me. Morrowind and Oblivion are awesome games.

I'll have to try out the Thief franchise. They look great and might as well grab 'em while their on sale.

Also, Unreal is still a great game.

    SC2, DOTA,Sims,Dirt3,Fallout3,Oblivion..
Never played any MMO, so cant comment on that.

and i don't like all types of multiplayer in any game at all, except perhaps a bit of co-op.. I buy my games to play through the single player campaign once or twice and then against bots/AI,so obviously mostly only get RPGS and RTS..

Edit : you know its such a relief proclaiming that i hate multiplayer!! usually people are all like.. but that's what the games are all about, you dont know what you're missing, you're weird.. :p
and oh, don't like minecraft either, I just dont see what's so great about it..

Anyone out here feel Crysis 1 was over rated, I mean yes it was pretty and all but the battles were very far and between long boring sequences, most of the time i was going through the jungle anxiously wondering if there was a checkpoint or a patrol up ahead. I never completed the game though, the traveling from one place to another was just too much for me. I had only just reached the part where Prophet gets separated from us.(during which time as revealed in Crysis 2 he swam to NY, what BS). Crysis 2 was better in a way that there was much less of this traveling.

I'm just the opposite. I loved SC1 but not real fond of 2. Plus WoW, hate it, period.

Most RPG's I can't get into either, although RPG-like games (usually only one character selection) for some reason appeal to me like Riddick: Butcher Bay, Fallout 3, STALKER, etc.

    Sweet.

A lot of games are hit or miss depending on my mood. I go through phases. Right now I'm not into FPS games too much (except TF2 ;)). but in a month or so that's all I will play.

I'm on a Platform and RPG splurge right now. just beat trine, and now playing DA:O.

Only games I truly hate are MMO's. more of a singleplayer guy most of the time (hence the hate for FPS's at the moment...)

COD:BO, pretty much nothing else though. I have played a lot of games too on various consoles. Used to me all mmorpg for me, then my comp like died, then it was all competitive fps's and now I have no idea I just play anything that interests me. I almost never buy a game that I could not see myself playing, so I never really have that problem.

Well I've lost interest in just about every game I've tried to play since 2007-2008.

Mirror's Edge, COD, Mass Effect, Gears of War, Need for Speed Shift, STALKER, Rainbow Six: Vegas 2, WoW, TF2, Left for Dead, Battlefield, etc.

Now that I think about it, Deus Ex: Human Revolution is the only upcoming game I want to play.

Guys, I think my gaming days are near death. I think my next laptop purchase will be minus a dedicated GFX card.

I don't like most FPS type games out there.
They just bore me to death (except 2 titles: Elite Force 1 & 2).

Aside from that I mostly enjoy Scifi RPG type games.
    KOTOR 1&2, ME 1&2 ...

Oh yes... I really think the medieval RPG stuff was done to death and I mostly steer clear of them.
Scifi games are practically non-existent these days.
Add along the premise that I don't like games you can play with only an Internet connection either.
Multiplayer games or MMORPG's... sheesh... none of them really grabbed me and are effectively 'more of the same'.

Games I don't like (that many does):
+ Portal (very good game but no way OMG... the cake is a lie!!!)
+ COD series and all its clones: not bad but the market is OVER saturated with clones (both sequel clones and competence clones)
+ Games that required a constant internet connection for a single player campaign
+ Batman AA (same as Portal, very good but it lacked in some sections to make it epic)

Games I like (but many don't):
    + Fallout 3
    + Bioshock
+ Final Fantasy (actually for me anything beyond FF8 was a let down, including FFX)

Not many liked the setting where Bioshock is based.

Fallout 3 loved? Certainly you haven't read many complaints in this forum :)

And with respect to the FF series: the last releases have been bashed quite a lot. The good point with you is that you played the up to latest great FF. :D

    - Half Life (all)
    - Counterstrike (all)
    - Any and every racing game that doesn't involve weapons
    - Crysis (all)
    - Call of Duty BO
    - Dragon Age (all)

And most fighting games such as Mortal Kombat/Street Fighter were fun when I was younger, but as I grew older I no longer enjoyed any of them.

    (I prefer phantasy star/final fantasy/chrono trigger/command & conquer series/civ series/heroes might and magic series)

Call of Duty: I played BF:2 before CoD and never looked back. Granted I wish I could buy Black Ops for the sole purpose of playing Zombies. I love Zombies... Now it's all regurgitated gameplay.

Racing games: I actually prefer NASCAR over Dirt and Grand Turismo and all of those types of racing games, but Flatout and Burnout were some good times.

Sports games: I don't like hockey all that much, but Xbox 360 and N64 hockey games are fun. Other than that I like NCAA football and that's it outside of Wii Baseball.

WoW: Speaks for itself. People get WAY too into it.

Games that are only playable with an internet connection.

I also just learned that I don't like Tom Clancy stealth games. I played "Critical Hour" for the Xbox and concluded that those types of games are too limiting (you HAVE to be stealthy, you HAVE to work with your team, etc). There's only a certain level of teamwork I'll accept before it becomes annoying.

Love Fallout 3, Far Cry 2, Battlefield 2, Diablo, Combat Arms, and CrossFire. Those are the only games I have experience in outside of the original Xbox. Don't hate...

Sport games: I only like Soccer (FIFA) and tennis... haven't played one of those games since year 2002, but I liked them. (Well, mario tennis with my kids, but that doesn't count xD)

Hate Baseball, Hockey, Football... never get the point on those kind of games, maybe because on my region they are not popular. I don't even know the rules.

Basketball is a 50-50. Its "meh" to me
