I am not a gamer; however, I am interested to see what the newer Macbook Pro users play on their system.
Here is my configuration:
Macbook Pro (late 2008): 2.53 Ghz, 4 GB RAM, 320 GB HD
What peripherals do you use? A bluetooth mouse? Bluetooth joystick (I don't know)?
I saw the game Call of Duty 4 in the stores but I was just wondering what are some decent games to try.

Call of Duty 4 is a great game, you should definitely try it if you want to get into computer games. as for peripherals, a decent mouse is all you really need. on a side note, all wireless connections usually exhibit some sort of lag when used to connect to peripherals, which is why most gaming equipment is wired.

to play games, you will need a wired mouse. if it is really important that you go wireless, you'll need a 2.4ghz wireless mouse instead of a bluetooth one. these don't have the same issues as bluetooth wireless mice, but they do have a usb dongle that sticks out of your computer. this is definitely the best mouse that is satisfactory for gaming that is realistically portable for a laptop and wireless.
heres what i recommend:

most dongle's are larger than this, this one barely sticks out. no lag. not a "gaming grade" mouse, but it performs fine, and the benefit is that it is wireless. otherwise, consider one of these:

If I remember correctly alot of the EA sports games (hockey, tiger woods etc) started being released for Mac now as well. You could check those out. I'd love to rock some Tiger Woods on a big fatty of an imac. Hehe.

The selection isn't all that great for other games but any other recommendations?

If you install bootcamp, you can play whatever pc game you want in windows.
As far as mice go, my proclickmobile games perfectly fine, and its a bluetooth mouse. Depending on the wireless mouse, sometimes they will lag. A friend of my experienced major lag from his wireless usb mouse when he brought it to the right side of the computer (and the usb was on the left), bring it to the left its fine, to the right, it lags. So I cant really say that all usb wireless mice are good for gaming, try not to get a cheap one if you decide on wireless usb. -
The only thing I use it my Razer Diamondback 3G.
Pretty awesome mouse. I love the tracking on that thing.

I play mostly WoW, TF2 some of the the L4D demo, Mass Effect and was thinking of getting Mirror's Edge once it comes out. I use a BT Mouse and it's been perfectly fine for me.
