WHats a good decent cpu i can get for my notebook, i wanna get the cheapest one possible, so i can spend more money on my GPU
i plan on running games like crysis and bioshock
and another question
if i decide to get 8800m would i beable to upgreade it to dual SLI later?
-

Any cpu over 1.8-2.0GHz will be enough.
What laptop are you looking at with the 8800m? -
-
the xtreme notebooks Xtreme 917V, you can pre order the 8800M GTX there is also an option to add dual sli 8800M but it comes with a hefty $1000 extra pricetag
thats why i was wondering if i could get a single 8800M now and when the price drops upgrade to a second one -
Don't let an average CPU hold back your kick-butt 8800m. For Crysis, if running Vista, I would recommend C2D 2.2ghz or higher; for XP, C2D 2.0ghz is as low as you want to go to fully enjoy the game.

but is it possible to upgrade a single 8800M to a dual 8800m? like after one has bought it?
or is it once u get single your stuck with single? -
I would suggest 2.0ghz and 800mhz and up 2 cores of course.

CPU wont make difference at high resolution... just get anything with at least 4mb cache on it...
-
and 4mb of cache does not give u a very sharp edge over someone with a 2mb cache, unless u do a lot of video-editing, etc. there was a comparison chart somewhere on here...
but yeah, go with at least 2.0ghz -
Bigger is always better!
