Gaming Hardware Question

i have a question will this laptop

Yes, but bear in mind you may need to lower the resolution to 1280x800 for some of the games you have listed. The computer has basically the same specs as mine.

-Oblivion (yes but I have a frame-skip issue which may make the game unplayable to you, though with XP I can manage a constant 40FPS with Ultra High Settings)
-Age of Empires (Don't know but I'm sure it can)
-Black and White (Don't know but I"m sure it can)
-World in Conflict (Have no idea)
-Enemy Territory: Quake Wars (Yes, I've actually been playing the Demo all high settings with 1280x800 resolution and keeping a framerate of 25-30 sometimes dropping to 20)
-Guild Wars (I'm sure it can)
-BF 2142 (Yes)
-Halo 2 (No Idea)
-STALKER (I'm sure it can)
-Unreal Anthology (I'm sure it can)
-Half Life 1&2 (Yup I'm getting OB on the 9th )
-Football manager (No idea)

-Darkbasic (Yup)
-FPS Screator (I'm sure it can)

Also I would like to recommend the Dell 1520 or 1720. I'm not sure how 999 pounds is but I got my dell for a great price with the same specs. Except no DVD Burner but you can add one through the customization.

One more note: You may need to optimize your 8600M GT card if you get it. I have posted a nice little guide on this forum for doing so. It's entitled 8600M GT Stuttering Fixes.

All Nvidia 8series cards can run DX10. The 8800 can run it better but 8600 should run it just fine (I haven't tested DX10 yet so I can't tell you how well only yes it can.)

is their anything else i should consider getting im goign to use this for college but i also will be palying games on it as well

 

also can any of the games i listed use the 360 pc controller and also what other games can use it.
