    How well can this notebook run Crysis?

    - 160GB S-ATA 5400RPM
    - 3GB DDR2 667Mhz
    - nVidia GeForce 8700M GT 512MB GDDR3
    - 17 WUXGA (1920 x 1200)
    - Vista Home Premium 32bits

    Would the same nootbook but with a 8800M GTX 512MB GDDR3 make much difference?

    Yes it will make a world of difference 8800M = 2.5x the performance of the 8700. Crysis will run w/ most of the settings on high and some tweaks to shadows and water to help out the fps.

    Yes it would make a difference. Playing ALL high, 1440x900 kind of difference :D 25+fps

    uhh are you guys smoking? an 8700M GT will run Crysis FINE on all medium settings.

    I hope you aren't getting that notebook just to play Crysis, lol. 8700M GT is fine, expect to end up with a notebook that plays Crysis on medium or medium/high, don't expect to go high HIGH...

    I run crysis on 1024x768 on all high cept for shaders and shadows, and it's 25+ constant...so yea 8700m GT will be fine if you are on a budget.

    The 8800m GTX kills every notebook card out, so if you have the cash for one, grab it.

    The 8800m GTS is a good choice as well, seeing as it's cheap with the gateway FX.
