When gaming on a SXGA+ screen and you play at 1400x1050 does the game look distorted at all? I tried playing Quake3 at that resolution on my UXGA screen and I noticed the textures looked really grainy. How about if you played at 1280x1024? Since it is lower than the native resolution it will probably be distorted... but how bad? worse than 1280x1024 on a UXGA?

i haven't had any problems, but I only have a wxga+ so I would just recommend trying it out. The worst that could happen is it looks horrible and you turn it back up.

Have you played Quake3 on your laptop? If so do the textures and guns look sorta grainy at all? That's pretty much my only concern right now..
