I have recently bought a sager 7370. geforce 765 mobile video card with integrated intel 4600 graphics.

The graphics drivers may not be the problem. But i'll explain my experience so far.
I own a Razer Deathadder 3.5g. I got everything installed on my new laptop including the Razer software Synapse 2.0 which updates drivers and firmware for my mouse. I loaded in my custom profile and opened up a game (diablo 3 in this case) After about 2 minutes, the mouse froze. I alt-tabbed, unplugged the mouse, plugged it back in and it worked fine until i re-opened the game. I have no issues while on desktop only. So I uninstalled synapse and the mouse drivers and had windows install generic mouse drivers. The mouse worked in the game this time, but stuttered from time to time freezing for a second and then moving again. Before anyone ask, I use this mouse daily on my desktop with ATI graphics card. Synapse 2.0 and it works perfect and has for awhile.
I called Razer and Sager support. Razer support wasn't very helpful, however sager support was great. We worked out the problem. I uninstalled my nvidia drivers (leaving intel integrated only) and opened the game. The game itself was running slow, but with synapse running, the mouse never froze or stopped. So I chalked this up to Nvidia drivers and Synapse conflict, moved the mouse back to my desktop and ordered a new gaming mouse.
I ordered a Steelseries Diablo 3 gaming mouse (basically a Steelseries Sensi without onboard memory) because i want a mouse with macro capabilities. I installed the new mouse and driver via it's software Steelseries Engine (similar to Synapse 2.0). I also updated the firmware on the mouse. The software comes with built in profiles for keymapping. I started a game, used the profiles key maps and it worked great! for about 10 seconds... Unlike the Razer, the Steelseries continued to work, but the thumb buttons remapped by the software, did not. I basically had a normal, 2 button mouse. The mouse also stared stuttering (like the Razer) but once i uninstalled the software it worked fine. I have not uninstalled the nvidia drivers and tested the new mouse yet, but I assume something it conflicting with the gaming mice software in both cases and probably the same thing.

Thanks in advance for any help

    Stuff I've tried.
Reinstalling Windows fresh with minimal programs running on the taskbar (only nvidia control panel and sound)
Using Nvidia drivers from the disk provided, the newest on the website, and the version previous to the ones on the disk.
Setting power management to high performance, and in advanced options, changing the USB setting USB selective suspend setting to Disabled
I've gone into device manager and set the USB root hubs to not shut off to save power option
I've used a basic 5 dollar generic mouse with generic windows mouse drivers and it works fine
I've used the Razer with generic mouse drivers, and when in game it stutters
I've used the Steelseries with generic mouse drivers and it works fine
Used the steelseries with drivers, minus the software and works fine
Uninstalled Nvidia drivers, game was slow due to intel graphics running it, but BOTH mice worked fine with software running. Keybinding worked, everything.
I've searched endlessly on forums/websites for similar issues with no results. This is where i found most of these work arounds i've tried.
I've posted on notebookreviews, nvidia, tomshardware as well as here. Nothing so far.
I've called Razer, Sager, Xoticpc, and put in a trouble ticket with Steelseries. Razer was unhelpful. Sager was awesome and helped me discover uninstalled nvidia drivers fix. Xoticpc was nice and helpful but had never heard of this, and steelseries responded today but is forwarding the issue to more tech people.
And i've ran both the game and mouse software as administrator

It's not the mice, it's the software. IF anyone, owns a laptop with nvidia optimus (intel and nvidia graphics) and owns a razer or steelseries mouse, even logitech. Try to run their software and play a game. If anyone owns a Sager, not just this particular model, please test this to see if it's just me, or an issue with all machines. Again, any help is welcome, and thanks in advance for any help.

Sorry i know most will say just use the mouse without the software. But i bought a gaming pc, with a gaming video card. I want to use a gaming mouse with gaming software. I want the ability to remap keys, create macros, and change the dpi setting to my feel. I want to use the extras you pay for when buying a gaming mouse. I dont want a 5 or 7 button plain mouse that will go back and forth on webpage, or page up page down.

I've owned the razer deathadder, hex, and currently have a logitech g500. Rzer's sofware was a bit buggy with the hex. Logitech's software is much better in my opinion. THe only issues i have had is if i unplug the mouse and plug it back in without rebooting the system; it still works as a regular mouse but all buttons go back to their defaults.

Wish i could give you a better suggestion than to dump your current mouse and get the logitech; it is currently $40-$50 US.
