    Hi,

I am trying to decide which notebook to buy. Right now I am leaning towards the Asus W2J notebook which has a SXGA (1680x1050) screen resolution.

I was wondering if it will be possible to play games like World of Warcraft and perhaps Oblivion in the native 1680x1050 resolution. The Asus notebook has a X1600 graphics card.

    Thanks in advance. :)

    Hey Blueprint,

I have not played these games but they ask for a good videocard! Yours is great, X1600 is a very nice card, but I dont think you can run it on native with everything full.

Native with effects off should work... By the way that notebook is very cool :)

That's actually WSXGA resolution, SXGA is 1400x1050 :)

As for the native resolution, I play WoW at highest on my V6va, with the x700 and it runs great :)

The x1600 will do much more, but as for TES:Oblivion....who knows :p

That's actually a WSXGA+ resolution, SXGA+ is 1400x1050, haha. SXGA is 1280x1024. Don't mean to burst your bubble coriolis. :p

You should be fine playing WoW at WSXGA+, can't comment on Obilivion.
