Did some Christmas shopping and got a 4K tv. Never thought of playing a game through it. All I remembered from a while ago was the horrible lag, obviously Tvs have come a very long way. I plugged it in and hooked it up and I'm just stunned. The picture while gaming is stunning, there is NO noticeable lag, I'm using a controller. I tried it on Mafia3, FO4, Quantum Break and everything ran smooth. There was absolutely no herky jerky movement, everything ran on the highest settings. It's a Samsung 49uk8500 4K tv. I have it set to PC input, and game mode.

Game mode is pretty good. I use game mode for my Xbox One/Wii U.

    For PC I use DVI PC (4K @ 60Hz 4:4:4) instead of game mode (4K @ 60Hz 4:2:2)

KS8000-series and KS9000-series have like 19-21ms of input lag, so they're one of the best 4K TV's for gaming.

the only draw back is the 60Hz refresh rate.

I play PC games on my 4K Samsung television as well (PC = MSI GS43VR, TV = Samsung KU6300) with a controller, and I enjoy it immensely. I game at 1080p, and there's no noticeable degradation due to upscaling (nor should there be, going from 1080p to 4K); the picture looks fantastic. Input lag is nice and low according to the Rtings review, a little higher in PC mode where chroma 4:4:4 is available but still manageable:

    Gaming Mode:
    1080p @ 60Hz - 19.8 ms
    4k @ 60Hz - 20.4 ms
    4k @ 60Hz + HDR - 20.4 ms

    PC Mode:
    1080p @ 60Hz @ 4:4:4 - 36.7 ms
    4k @ 60Hz @ 4:4:4 - 36.7 ms
    4k @ 60Hz @ 4:4:4 + HDR - 36.7 ms

These numbers won't satisfy the hardest-core gamers, especially combined with a 60hz screen and lack of gsync, but I'm quite pleased with it. I'd definitely recommend TVs like this to folks who want a console-like TV gaming experience and are okay with some small compromises.

I use a 55" 4k Hisense H8C for gaming. It's great! I run new games at 1080, older games at 2K. Would go 4K, but the interface gets too small.
