Hi everyone, It seems everytime i play any type of first person shooter game, i am able to play with 30-60 fps for 10-30 minutes. After that time period the frame rate drops and everything lags. If anyone knows some way to fix this please respond

    My specs:

    hp dv2610ca

    amd turion 1.9x2
    2gb ram
    geforce 7150m (integrated)

Lol HP told you to get a chillpad? hahaha you should send your laptop in for repairs thats bad customer support. they should have offered to get it repaired for you, they're just making u spend your money.

And if anything, get the Zalman NC1000 cooling pad. Worth money, good resutls

yeah hp support isnt the best, at least the guy spoke good english lol. But i dont get it, i meet the requirments of my games and my laptop doesnt even get hot. Maybe the only part gettin hot is where the graphics card is?

perhaps...download CPUID which is a temperature monitor for your laptop. Youll know exactly which location is overheating and where you will need to ask for help.

    http://www.cpuid.com/

    Good luck :\

well i played a game for 20 minutes and ofcource it began to lag. So i run this program and check the temps. Graphics core 86c with a high of 94c. The proccesors and harddrives were also in the low 60's. Now that is crazy. But when i feel the laptop it's not hot

you should try updating the bios. newer bios usually have "better" fan control. and 94 degrees is WAY too hot, even hotter than most dedicated gpus.

I think its a bogus temperature reading.

Coz my hands didnt melt when i touched my laptop from bottom.

well funny thing is i just updated my bios yesterday and i did notice a way better improvment. I can play the game with 50 fps for about 20-30 minutes then the framerate only drops to around 30. Before the bios it would drop top the point that it was unplayable

Have you tried dusting it? I removed quite a bit of dust and debris out of my acer and that was before I got a dog.
