The Asus N10J packs quite a punch according to the article, if it's capable of playing Red Alert 3 it deserves some respect despite the piddling CPUs all netbooks are hampered with.

Neat article but poor layout. Some simple fps graphs at the end would have been a nice visual to do some comparisons. Thanks for sharing.

pretty terrible article. I think someone with 5 hours of time with an Atom/GMA950 netbook and the ASUS N10J could have written up something much more helpful to people considering gaming on a netbook. Mabe show some average framerate numbers throughout different games, and give a short list of games that would play on the GMA950 netbooks, as well as framerates.

I was excited when I saw this article, but it is pretty dissapointing. No FPS numbers and just a piddly number of games listed. GamEEEr.com is a much better resource.

I agree on the last point, a simple list of games that works on netbook X would be good.
As for your first point though, framerates are not that important to most people, at least not compared to "does it work good enough for me to enjoy it"?
I never care for the actual numbers myself, I just play, and if it's too stuttery or slow, I stop.

why dont you all write your own article and send it in to the various pc gaming media outlets and get your own published?

just a thought...might make a coin out of it while your at it?

I already started an ordered list. Unfortunately time constraints has prevented me from being productive, but I'm actually working on a lot right now, just haven't published yet.

It opened a while back. Then we had our second child, I lost my job, and wife went back to work, hence the lack of time...

I should just do a couple a week, at least then it will slowly but surely get populated. I'm reformatting everything to go on my comprehensive site at notebooknerd.com. It'll be mainly about gaming, but also about tweaks, benchmarks, and other stuff related to laptops.
