Multiplayer Gaming Blamed for US Sales Decline

What a stupid idea to charge for online. I dont know how anyone could think thats acceptable for run of the mill online. Things to blame are like, horrible games, too expensive etc. etc. If anything just have online adds on loading screens or on the lobby, you gotta sit there and wait anyways might aswell put up a few banners and make some cash .

The article is about the decline in sale recently, and analysts think its due to multiplayer modes and used games, analysts recommend paying a fee ontop of the game to play its online, like call of duty or battlefield that kinda of multiplay which is right now a free service on the game, certain games excluding mmos obviously.

But a way better solution for this would be either A. make better games and people will go out and buy them or B. include some advert. banners on load screens for multiplayer matches or for lobbies

This is dumb. They could make more games that are actually fun and are really good. Would generate more sales, and make the companies look even better. Bobby kotick is really dumb...

What, he blames Nintendo for bundling games on the Wii and also CoD:MW2 & Halo 3.
    Thats crazy talk.

I would guess the problem would be either "Shovelware" games and crappy Xbox 360 to PC ports.
The average gamer wants to get value for the cash he / she spends, and that means that they dont want sh***y games.

Oh, it's Michael Pachter again. I don't remember specifically, but didn't he make some other asinine observations in the past?
