Was looking at the EliteBook 8540w off a recommendation in another thread.

This comes with the Quadro FX 1800M 1GB GDDR5 Card... How would this perform in gaming?

Just look at it's GeForce equivalent, apart from perhaps BIOS, drivers, and ID, it is no different than it's equivalent, i game fine on my Quadro FX 570M even with stock Quadro drivers, i can play Dirt 2 smooth at 20-30FPS 1280x720 and most everything high and some ultra high.

Edit: Mine is equivalent to the higher bandwidth GDDR3 8600M GT.

It will be slightly weaker than it's Geforce equivalent, but it still should be decently strong.

With the right drivers, there should be little to no noticeable difference in gaming performance compared to its consumer counterpart.
