Is there anyone who has this game/mod? If so could you tell me if I could get a free download so I can test it out before I get it off steam. I have tried some but each one I try doesn't show up on the add-ons list in Steam. If there isn't I guess I'll just get the "mod" anyway.

There is no trial for GMOD 10, but you can get the previous version, 9.04, as that was when it was still a free mod.

GMOD 10 has some extensive updates and features, but 9.04 will give you a good feel for the great amount of messing around GMOD has to offer. -
Yea just get the older versions. They will work free, but not as polished/feature plentiful as GMOD10, GMOD 10 is fantastic really has all the things you need to make really anything. But if you just want to fart around and give it a try, GMOD 9 is good. One afternoon a friend and I got GMOD 9 and put together this.

Sorry about the lag in that vid, it was on my old pc.
If you really enjoy GMOD, get GMOD 10 its fantastic and blows GMOD9 out of the water. -
Best. Game. Ever.

What is GMOD? I'd never heard of it until a couple days ago.
-
-
It's 10$ op, dont you think you'll survive?
-
GMOD is great, but I think you need HL2 and CS: S to run older versions of gmod. I'm not sure, but double check. ^^
-
Okay imma try the 9.04 version I hope it works.
-
When I downloaded it, it didn't show up in my games list or tools list. Is Source SDK something?
-
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\SourceMods -
I heard you can do use this on Oblivion as well? Or am I mistaken?

Oh I found it, I just went to gameinfo in the folder and changed some codes. Its working and boy is it fun

The cruddy part is that my laptop doesn't have a numpad
. Is there anything I could do to replace the numpad for something else.
-
just go to options->keyboard and then change the numpad keys to like the arrow keys and some other keys that not usually used for Gmod
btw, i got gmod 10, its fun if you are making stuff to around, but to really understand it, and have alot of fun, wire is a must. -
I know about wire but it's kinda hard to understand

Buy a USB number pad. Back when I played Gmod 7 I bought one just for the game, it was only $7 at biglots. Having one for that game is pretty essential, you can map the keys to other keys, but it's just not as easy if your trying to build a contraption, or a walking/shooting mech or something creative.
The big plus with Gmod10 is that all of the new "mini mods" for the game, and there are hundreds of thousands of them (models, weapons, levels, scripts, etc.), are only for Gmod10 on www.Garrysmod.org -
I know I saw those mods, and I needa find a place where they sell USB Number pads now
