So Ive been trolling these forums for a few months now, and I finally need some help![]()
Ive had this Gateway p-7860 FX laptop for about 2 years now and I used to get like 40-50 FPS in WoW on max settings. I have recently successfully baked the MoBo after the chip failed, and now I am only getting like 15 fps on low settings. Anyone know why? Or is there a way to increase FPS?
THe laptop is getting extremely hot, so I am going to invest in a laptop cooling tray, but anything else that might be causing it?
Thanks for your help!

Do you mean 6860FX? If your GPU died it is time for a new laptop. Baking the mobo should only be used as a temporary solution.
Did you apply thermal paste after you put your laptop back together? -
Yes sorry that was a mistype :X And I did apply the thermal paste and I know a new laptop would be the best solution I just dont have the money available right now to get one that is sufficient enough and figure this would be best for the time being until I can save up the funds.
