I'm surprised that 3D is actually making a come back. But I will never spend money on it until I know it is here to stay.

Hmm, I don't know how well these do. Ive tried the Red/Cyan glasses with iz3D. That was a mess, it worked but you loose most color and see a tint on everything, I don't know how stereoscopic will do with those glasses.

From what I hear, Polarize is the way to go, but those monitors are like $600. And the most I would ever spend to see a game in 3D is about $100. If ATI/Nvidia can develop $100-$150 glasses that do well, then im sold.

You must also remember, a bit of game performance will be sacrificed. Usually its minimal (a couple frames).

I really like the idea of the monitors that are 3D by themselves, two overlayed polarizing films or something. It would fix a lot of the hassle with glasses and what-not.

I don't think everyone understands what nVidia is doing...

-You NEED a 120Hz monitor or else you will puke from massive wicked headaches

-You HAVE to have a computer that can play a game at 120FPS for the refreshing to appear correctly

-If your computer can handle a game that supports 3D at 30FPS, you will be seeing 15FPS with the glasses... hence the 60Hz Minimum (Which is 30FPS per eye) (To my opinion, not nVidia's flawless 60FPS per eye)

Essentially you need a 120Hz LCD and SLi to get this to perform as promised. Which to me is fine, this isn't exactly an average joe product anyways.

As the guys before me said - you absolutely need a 120Hz screen, because otherwise the LCD just will not be able to stay in sync with the blinking of small lcd screens on your glasses and you will be disappointed.

So, it will take a long long time for the notebook users to use those glasses.

So . . . these glasses aren't the monitors themselves? You need a special monitor too?

Ya, don't buy those. They aren't 3D and at best it's like staring at a 12' 800x600 display.
