Not being the biggest benchmarking expert / junkie, this won't be completely thorough, but I figured it could be of us to someone -

Laptop is a Toshiba Qosmio G35-AV650, the one with the HD-DVD drive. It includes a GeForce Go 7600 with 256MB of DDR3 memory. According to rivatuner, it's closed 450/450 stock (which I assume is 450/1350) but I am able to run it at 500/500 (which is 500/1500?) overnight running 3dmark03 and 3dmark05 and it runs OK.

    3DMark03 - 10,159
    3DMark05 - 4,519

    Doesn't seem too shabby.

Those are some great scores you have there!

The reason why it sais 500/1500 is because you have GDDR3. That means 3*500 = 1500.

Your scores are great. If you are having problems with overheating or something, use a Spire Pacific Notebook cooler. Cheap, very effective, but noisy :( Works well if you overclock to play. I usually have my headset on so I dont hear the noise of the fan.

    Good luck!

    Charlie :)

Wow, 500/500 is an awesome overclock on that card. Best I can manage is 480/420 which nets me a 3995 in 3dmark05. I usually run at 470/415 as a "safe" overclock and that gets me around 3900-3915.

I've got 510/510 with no problem, 100% stable and no artifacts.

    EDIT.
Sorry, I realized that you're speaking about GF not Ati, my bad.

Actually, 500MHz on the memory means it is 1GHz effective, not multiplied by three. It is still double-date rate (DDR) memory. GDDR3 memory is very fast. That is a nice overclock you have there, good job.

Thanks for the replies. Must say that I'm a little surprised that these are good numbers because this laptop goes further. I was able to run 500/500 overnight but 520/520 also works for a few 3dmark03/05 runs although I haven't left it running overnight. Also, no need to say "good job" because I don't deserve any credit for it. Maybe the Toshiba Qosmio HD-DVD laptop is just well designed. Certainly, when OC'd, the fan out the back is pumping out some incredibly hot air!

This laptop is pretty quick. I think with 520/520 I was getting around 4700-4800 in 3dmark05. I've been experimenting with overclocking because it seems to give the laptop a little extra oomph for smooth hd-dvd playback.

Thats a great score! 4700-4800! You are close to a 7800 Go. You might want to consider a notebook cooler. Look for a cheap one at the internet.
