    Hi,
Im deciding if going for the 7600 or the x1700.

As per Nvidia, this one :(if Nvidia where the choice, can u specify between the 2 systems below plz)
    Asus F3T

The main difference between these laptops is the CPU and GPU. In the real world the Go7600 and X1700 are very close in performance but the 2GHz Core 2 duo is much more powerful than the AMD or slower Core Duo. So I would recommend the first notebook, which is the Asus F3JP?

WOW is not a very demanding game so any of the notebooks listed above should play it fairly maxed out. Just for comparison what are the specs of your desktop?

get the cheaper one cause both gpu are about the same power and will run WOW maxed

EDIT: even a X2 at 1.8 ghz will run WOW no problem.

WOW is not a demanding game

go for the C2D T7200 laptop. it'll give you the closest performance to your desktop. it has the faster CPU and the X1700 is on par with the go7600 if not slightly faster. I recommend you upgrade RAM to 2GB for playing games in vista

If you are looking at Newegg also look at the Asus A8js, it comes with the Go7700 which is a little faster than the X1700 but it is a little more expensive as well. To be honest though the X1700 and Go7700 are the best graphics cards you can get in 15.4 or smaller notebooks right now. So while they are not nearly as powerful as you desktop they should be able to play wow fairly maxed out at a decent resolution.

For gaming, the difference in processor is not going to make any difference, but the Ati 1700 will do. True, not much, but it will, as for the processor it wont.
Still, the system with the Ati 1700 has better processor, I don't see the conflict, why not going with it?

That's probebly true of WoW, but definately not true for any other game! Processor can make a huge difference, especially if the game is older, or physics intensive! X1700 is probebly the best of those. But seriously.... WOW?!? Just get a damn Xpress200m x300 laptop....
they cost under $400 and will play that piece of crap game fine!

For all the games I have played (Quake 4, Oblivion, etc) my processor, a core 2 duo 1.66 Ghz, has never pass 80% of use. My bottleneck is always my GPU, an x1600.

thats because oblivion has bad coding, and most games only use one core. Wait for something like crysis.

No, the GPU is the bottleneck. For graphics all that CPU can do is submit the geometry do AI and physics, CPU cannot assist or do things in any possible way.And GPU's power on calculations is much better than the CPU.
