    Hi,
I know there is lots of threads about it. But I have one simple question.

For how long (from today) can it serve as gamer card?

atleast 2 years.......but ur gonna have to lower the settings after one year......the 7900GS is a powerful card, but even the most powerful of beasts are outperformed by a new breed (the G80m)

it depends on your standards.....if you mean from now until you have to set games on the lowest setting possible...thats gonna be a while....like deedeeman said at least 2 years...

That sounds enough; I'm most satisfied with "mid" setings as long as I can run "wide" and with native resolution if possible. 1920x1200 is quite a huge one for 17'', but maybe still...
BTW, I ussually play just RTS, RPG, TBS.

you can max out RTS for at least another year, imo. RPG's are a mixed bag but FPS are the hardest on your card to max out at native resolution in the future.

my 4 year old 9800 PRO in my desktop can still play most RTS on med-high settings at 1024x768. RTS are usually not too demanding (although CoH is pretty demanding for one)
