    HI

I am looking at 2 new laptops, the upcoming dell m1330 and the sony fz190. The sony has a GeForce 8400M GT and the dell m1330 GeForce 8400M GS.

Can anyone comment on the performance diffrence in graphics?

    :)

You should either start searching for benchmarks which I don't think are out yet.Or you should wait for these GPUs to be released.

The 8400M GT is more powerful because of the extra memory bus compared to the 8400M GS (128-bit to 64-bit). Imagine the memory bus as a highway - the 8400M GT has a 128 lane highway, so there are less bottlenecks than the 8400M GS' 64 lanes of traffic.

As far as benchmarks go, the 8400M GS is around a 1,500 and the 8400M GT is around a 2,000, quite roughly.

Yes, I think the 8400m GT is a bit slower than the 7600 when comparing 3DMark 06 points. I'd wait for some real-world benchmarks though if I were to buy the 8400m GT myself though. :nah:
