hey man.......i'm not an expert on laptops and stuff........so my question follows:
nVidia web site shows da following, and just lookin @ da numbers, da 8600GS seems better than da 8600GT in da core clock and shader clock.......so does dat mean 8600GS is better/faster? but then how come pplz say da 8600GT is better?![]()

Twice as many stream processers makes the 8600M-GT a much faster card, regardless of the clock speeds. -
o....thx alot man.......did notice dat ......hehe
-
trust me - i owned both of these video cards and the GT makes a huge difference in fluid gameplay. i am using the 8700m GT right now and its great, but definitely go with the GT -- way faster
-
will overclocking 8600M GS be able to match 8600M GT or never?
-
nope....the GT is much faster, and can be overclocked alot too
-
meh_cd this isn't a forum to insult people in. Take it somewhere else.
-
Overclocking the GS won't bring it up to the GT because of the difference in stream processors.
O and, if you do get the GT, it may be best to get one that is DDR3 and not DDR2, as the 3 will perform better. -
at least you can overclock GS until it's the same as stock GT
