    Stream Processors 16 32

Twice as many stream processers makes the 8600M-GT a much faster card, regardless of the clock speeds.

trust me - i owned both of these video cards and the GT makes a huge difference in fluid gameplay. i am using the 8700m GT right now and its great, but definitely go with the GT -- way faster

meh_cd this isn't a forum to insult people in. Take it somewhere else.

Overclocking the GS won't bring it up to the GT because of the difference in stream processors.

O and, if you do get the GT, it may be best to get one that is DDR3 and not DDR2, as the 3 will perform better.

Way off topic, but what? 8700m GT? What notebook are you using?
