I'm trying to find out which of these two GPUs are better/likely to keep up with future games. As far as I can tell the 8700M is a newer card but it seems to be rated worse than the 7950 by some people. I'm not too knowledgeable on them and would appreciate any help available! Thanks.

Good lord not another of these threads? :p

Have you tried to search...or just look down a few? Just asking. I'm guessing that with 3 posts the answer is no, lol.

There are several threads on the first page discussing this, but here's the CliffsNotes version:

The Go 7950 GTX is more powerful than the 8700M GT, but the 8700 has DX10.

Joga's personal opinion (as you can see from the sig): If you need a gaming notebook now, get the Go 7950 GTX. If you can wait another half a year or so, wait for a more powerful DX10 card.
