try them yourself and post the older driver benchmarks vs this latest garbage please -
I never really paid much attention, but does the driver that's released for the game actually make the game better? Say, that I can get ultra settings one drive down 353.06, why Use 350.30?
-
Nope, just more lies from the Jolly Green Giant.
353.30 Release Notes:
Is is just me, or does "no fixed issues" just scream at you as evidence of clueless incompetence? With the threads at GeForce Community literally blowing up with reports of problems and serious malfunction, you'd think that fixes might be a priority for them.Ashtrix, J.Dre, Mr Najsman and 3 others like this. -

Yep... it took about 30 minutes before I got a 'desktop not responding' hang.
Nvidia... you bunch of muppets.
Gotta hate all these just-in-time drivers that work with whatever the latest a greatest game happens to be, but break everything else.
GIVE EM HELL

Anyone try these drivers in witcher 3? Do they have the witcher kepler performance boost present in 353.06?

can you guys even install the driver? mine got hung up at checking compatibility, like what kind of crap in this package...
-
Drivers are fine for me for the time being. Just installed it on my Windows 7 SSD, and it bumped some of my 3DMark graphics scores. No Chrome problems thus far either. Going to with my GTX 960 and my games later today.
Mobile Maxwell core overclocking is still intact, in case anybody wanted to know. -

don't know if that makes any difference but I don't like how the setup installer extracts its files to C:\nCRAPIA folder to I like it this way to have the entire setup package where it belongs with my other driver files. -

I actually want those invalid installation paths in the registry, so I manually extract, install, then move, to help decrease the likelihood of Windows finding the files later on. After rebooting, I run CCleaner. It flags the invalid installation paths in the registry entries and I delete them. The more we can do to prevent Windows from making decisions for us, the healthier (and stabler) our systems will be. Making wrong decisions got worse in Windows 8.X and now it looks like Windows 10 might be making even more of them by force, against our will. Happy, happy, joy, joy.
---Edit---
Since we already removed any excuses for failure with the last screen shot showing degraded performance at stock GPU clocks, here's an example of what many of us really care about--overclocking--and as you can see it's an ugly picture. So, the liars were telling the truth about removing clock-blocking, but the part of the story they are not being forthright about is what happens for some folks that do overclock... worse than stock.

Its like NVIDIA doesnt bother testing their drivers anymore before releasing them. Every new driver they've released lately has been crap. For me every driver after 350.12 has been completely unstable on my 750m notebook

not even trying this driver, in fact, I'm close to checking out of this completely. What's the point, I have a system that will be obsolete in a year or 2 if it runs correctly. It doesn't so it's almost obsolete now. But, something I have found recently with the last 2 driver releases and the modded 345.20 is that my system runs better with adaptive performance selected. I only throttle down into the mid 700's instead of high 5's and low 6's when I have prefer maximum performance selected. Most of the time I'm in the 800's when adaptive is selected. (when it throttles).
I know that isn't much help but just curious if that behavior is present with this new driver as well. It's like they not only dont really want people to overclock like you guys, they don't even want us using anything remotely close to high performance. It's borderline criminal at this point.Spartan@HIDevolution likes this. -
batman arkham knight should be fine with the 350.12 drivers?

Hey guys
Just noticed, new driver from nvidia. Looks like the main addition is the support for new Batman Arkham Night tittle. hopefully @j95 can do his magic with this new driver too.
here is the link for notebook Cards Windows 7 64-bit, Windows 8.1 64-bit, Windows 8 64-bit

Nvidia should just give us 350.12 with updated profiles for latest games then trash can every driver after 350.12 . Then the driver developers need to get together in a room and smoke about 25 blunts and rethink what the heck there doing. Then come back to work the next day and start from scratch.

After reading the gforce forums and this thread I'm not even going to attempt trying the 3rd failed driver from nvidia. I'm staying with 350.12 . The only downside is I have to play witcher3 with one card instead of sli. But at least everything else on my laptop functions properly .

Mrfox.
I will look into doing just that. I didn't know you could do that.
I thought that's why everyone gets so mad including me because in order to play latest games in sli you had to have latest driver installed. And if driver doesn't work or constantly crashes and you have to go back to older driver like a lot of us then you loose the sli profile in the latest crappy driver.
I'm still learning . Lol -
Unpacking Arkham Knight and downloading the drivers as I type this. I'll post some feedback after playing a while. According to the steam forums some people are saying this is yet another terrible PC release. It seems like everything I shell out money for has this reputation.
I will be cautiously optimistic. -
Here is the modified .inf for 353.30 driver.
Unpack the .zip file and copy into the Display.Driver folder
Just tested in 3DMark, benchmarks tests are ok in stock clocks but throttle occurs if any overclock is added in both gpu and memory clocks.Attached Files:

I just replicate what @j95 did in previous nv_dispi.inf file in 353.30 driver. I think there's a tutorial here in this forum about it.

353.30 driver working fine for me, no issues, same performance as previous driver in game benchmarks (F1 2012, Metro Last Light, Tomb Raider, Batman Arkham Origins) & 3DMark tests. Works fine in Assassins Creed Unity, haven't tested other games yet. No throttling issues.
-
Performance test in-game gave me an average of 39fps @ 1920x1080 res w/ all settings maxed.
After playing a few hours... this game is ****ing gorgeous and amazingly optimized. It just highlights how much of a travesty Watch_Dogs was. Very minimal slowdowns. I'm very happy with how this performs for what my system is capable of.
Seems like the new drivers did their job thus far.
