Hi, is the Nvidia GeForce Go 7200 capable of running Windows Vista Premium with Aero-glass and all without any problem??

I've just installed Vista (RC1) on my T60 (T2400, 1GB RAM,X1300 with 64MB DDR2). I got a over all point of 2.8 since my graphic card is not strong evough. On the other side, hard driver is not so good (HITACHI 4500RPM).
If you really want to run Vista on your laptop with Aero-glass, I suggest you have at least 2GB ram, one 5400RPM hard driver, a Core Duo CPu, and NV7600 graphic card(or other card have at least 128mb on board ram).

    i wouldn't count on it.

the Geforce 7200 runs slower than ATi's X300, so I wouldn't be quiet sure. It comes too close to integrated graphics

The Go 7200 will run Aero Glass. It's a dedicated DX9 part with dedicated memory, it'll be fine.

For pete's sake, Aero Glass runs on a GeForce FX 5200.

Yes in terms of game performance, but fx5200 will run Aero Glass fine.

Yeah, but can we all take a moment to point and laugh at the GeForce FX 5200?

When it came out, it was pathetic even for a budget card.

Seriously, I'd be surprised if even the X200M and Go 6150 didn't mercilessly spank that piece of crap.

Your laptop will run Vista Premium but the performance will not be that great. I tried running Vista Premium on my desktop computer (Pentium 4, 1 GB ram, 160 GB 5400 rpm HD, Nvidia 6200) and it did not perform very well. Let's just say that if you want to be able to use Vista, then your set but if your looking for a 'smooth' OS, then you need a better machine.

Go 7200 is fine for Vista AERO. You need to install NVIDIA drivers instead of Micorosoft WDDM drivers for maximum performance of your GPU.

I have the Go 7200 as well in my dv2000.

It gives it a score of 2.7 for gaming graphics in Vista.

There are people who have the 6150 who have gaming scores of around 3.0. What gives?

Sorry guys, having a major problem with my graphics card.
I run an NVIDIA GeForce Go 7200 gaphics card on a HP pavilion DV6000, amd turion 64 X2 processor.
I had Vista on my machine but got rid of it cos it was driving ne crazy. However, now i need a driver that'll work with my graphics card on XP.
The one i'm currently using behaves funny, it goes crazy whenever i disconnect the power cable. all vga intensive processes end.
Any ideas on where i can get a better driver, or another solution to my problem?
    thanks
