My new HP (see sig) is going to arrive tomorrow and I was curious if anyone has had any overclocking success with the Go 7400? I'm going to have to feel-out this machine and make sure it has adaquate cooling before I start messing with OC'ing it, but just wanted to know if anyone has had any luck and if so, what core/memory frequencies you were able to safely achieve and maintain. Thanks again!

what you have to understand (and its not just you), is that every computer is different (even if it is the same brand/specs), and each one will overclock differently. just because one person with those specs can get 400/400, does not mean you will get that high, and it also does not mean you will limited to that..you have to see what your machine is capable of, what you are comfortable with, and how far you are willing to take it.

good ventilation + cooling pad (if not, do NOT overclock)

start with core OR memory first...take one up 5-10 mhz at a time (this way, if it artifacts you will back down 5-10, instead of backing down by 75mhz then working up by 10)..when it fails, turn it down to the last good setting..

BENCHMARK IT (3dmark0x, play games...not for 10 minutes..play for like 45 mins..if all is good, work on the next setting)

    same thing applies here..

take the other one up 5-10 mhz at a time (this way, if it artifacts you will back down 5-10, instead of backing down by 75mhz then working up by 10)..when it fails, turn it down to the last good setting..

you will also find out, that when one is high with the other being lower, it may not perform AS good..so after you overclock it, you should see if they are stable TOGETHER..they might be, and they might not be..you have to check it..

    pb,out.

I understand what you're saying. I was just curious to get a ballpark figure. I haven't seen any info at all posted on OC'ing this particular card and was hoping to hear that someone had any success with it at all. I'll start fiddling with mine tomorrow and post my results for anyone else thats curious about it. Thanks for the reply, PB.
