I searched all over the place and I can't find info on this card.

I found this graphics card in a lenovo laptop. At first I was like, "SWEET! A 8600M GTS! That must be a good card". When I tried to look it up on the Mobile Graphics Card Info Page on this site, I couldn't find the exact one. I'm thinking that maybe this is just an onboard graphics card and not the GeForce 8400M-GT or Nvidia GeForce 8400M-GS that are "performance cards". Any ways, if some one on this forum knows, please reply quickly.

That is the site with the laptops that I was looking at. With the 10% coupon code you can get the one on the way right for $900. If this graphic card is actually good, I'm gonna jump on this deal.

yeah it's probably a mistake made by lenovo. it's likely 8400M GS or 8600M GT.

I wasn't aware that the 8600m GTS existed. As far as I know, a desktop 8600 GTS would be analgous to the 8700m GT.

That said, the 8600m GT or 8700m GT are both midrange cards that run all games, though newer stuff needs to be at medium settings once you go above 1440x900 resolution.

It's a typo. Its either the 8600GS or GT. most likely the GS.

Clockwise the 8700M GT is a XFX 8600GT XXX. Performance wise, it's still slightly below the 8600GT.
