    Hi, just a quick noobie's question. If I wanted to keep playing online in Gears of War for PC, would I need to continue to pay for the gold membership in windows live? Or can I just play online with the silver edition?

    no, wrong. If I remember correctly ONLY GOLD members have RANKS...Silver players can log on and everything, they just can't do ranked stuff.
