Gears of War Trailer

This may belong in Off-Topic, but I decided to put it here. Move it if necessary. Anyways, I was wondering what everyone thought of the Gears of War TV Trailer. I really like it, and I like the music they put behind it. I've seen some other trailers with different songs, but I think this song fits the best. Anyways, here is the link:

EDIT: I just saw that this game will be coming to PC as well, and I'm stoked. Any thoughts on this?

 

There is no confirmation that it is coming to PC, I wouldn't rule it out but nothing has been said yes.

But I got this trailer last week, absolutely amazing. Oh and no offence to Notebook_ftw post, but please, please, please watch this trailer in HD

This is rendered on the game engine itself, its not pre-rendered nonsense. Many Xbox developers have been asked if it is real, and the reaction is the game really does look that good.

 

I saw some footage of the game in action at E3, and it really did look awesome. I can't believe that video isn't prerendered. That's just insane. Makes me wish I had an XBox360. Or a 7950GTX in case comes to PC. I'm not sure the 1500M will be able to handle that.

And that looks absolutely insane in HD.

Some HD Multiplayer videos, grabs from the actual game, no cam footage or anything lame like that.

 

Would the m9700 alienware laptop with maxed out specs beable to handle this game good? (Dual 7900gs 512mb cards and 2.4ghz turion and 2gig ram)

 

Awesome looking game, I was looking for something different to play, looks like I've found it. Compstomper your notebook should have no problems playing GOW.

 

Its not coming to PC. Its an Xbox 360 game.

Its xbox 360 exclusive. Doesn't mean it will never come to PC, but if past experience is to go on, Xbox Exclusives tend to end up on PC about 2-3 years later, if they turn up at all that is. This is a highly anticipated game that MS are really hoping helps sell the 360 this xmas, they won't go letting this on any other platform for some time.

 

Well I guess I will miss out then . I only have the Sony playstation 2 for my nephews when they come over, still a great looking game --- if only.

 

Looks awesome doesn't it, its one game that's made me think seriously about getting a 360. I'm still amazed at the graphics from that trailer, and those Multiplayer videos I've seen look great.

Though if I do get a 360 it won't be until after they do the die shrink on the CPU and GPU, too many consoles failing for my liking at the moment. I think its overpowered and undercooled.

 

Yes it is sionyboy, I've had several friends that either returned theirs or sold them in the first week of its release.PS3 if I decide to get another console.

 

PS3 ftw. But only when the price drops a little bit. Gran Turismo 5 makes it all worth it. Although, this game makes the 360 look a lot more enticing.

 

Yeah, I saw somewhere that it was coming to the PC, but everything else seems to say otherwise. That would make me sad.

 

Games like Gears of War are the reason why me, a poor college student spend $450 on a Xbox360 Pro bundle 2 weeks ago. So far the only games I own for it are Dead Rising, and Prey. Dead Rising has some fun moments, but sux, and prey is fun, but once I beat it ill never play it again. Gears of War, Halo 3, its games like this that I will play over and over again. I cant wait to get to the Walmart in my college town of 12,000, before all the high school kids get out, so I can get it before they take them all. Gears of War will be the death of my grades.

Ok I just watched the 1280x768 trailer, first time ive seen it. Ive already seen the 8 minute game play footage, but it was a bit pixelated. This looked absolutely amazing. Makes me even happier that I bought a 360. And what a great choice of song may I add. "Mad World", absolutely fantastic. Reminds me of Donnie Darko...I think ill watch that great film tonight.

 

I just seen the commercial for GOW and man its great. I music makes you feel as if, this is this guys last desparate chance then the spiders come out. I'm excited and won't even be playing the game (unless).

Yeah that song has a lot of strong meaning and symbolism behind it. It does fit well with that trailer. Definitly does it some good and adds some suspense to it. Although the chorus is edited in a lot sooner then how it is in the real song, its still great. Well it ships in 3 days so ill have it in 4, hopefully.
