I´m buying a really good (for its price, 600€-700€ more or less) notebook (Asus k6IC) which has a 220M card, but before this one I´m thinking of buying I had a Geforce 8400 GS on an Ahtec...

Which card is better for gaming? (( I know they are both out of date)) games such as GTA Sa and BF2?

Are there many difference between those graphic cards?

Thanks :D , and sorry for my ignorance.

#1, you should read the stickies, there is a thread for that.

#2, if you can put like 850€ you can get an Asus N61 which it way better than the laptops you're looking at (it is a bang for the buck kind of laptop).

the 220M is much better than the 8400GS since its a mid-range card and the 8400GS is a low end card. Also stay away from the 8400GS is it a defective card

the 220m should easily maxed out both BF2 and GTASA

Geez, there's already 2 threads on this. If a G105M is better than a 8400M GS, then why wouldn't a GT220M be better than an 8400M GS? To be honest, the 5470 posted in one of the GTAIV thread is probably the best you can get at your price range.

But i guess it isnt like that.

Btw.. This graphic card 220M wouldnt support Gta IV on 24 fps right? just making out an idea. =) thanks.

if youre gonna play gta4 you want the best cpu possible as its a very cpu dependant game. in he lowest details possible it still had my T8100 maxxed out. my friend has one of the core i5's and a 5470 and he can play i reasonably in medium settings.

i play it in full hd at high settings on a desktop with a gt230 which isnt that good and an i5 650 and the i5 is what allows me to play it at those settings so for gta4 get a good cpu with a solid mid range or higher gpu eg gt230m, mobility radeon 5650 maybe mobility radeon 5470
