    Is their anyway to change the memory voltage ?
    ------------------------------------------------

    Another thing, it's looks like the 8600M GT can do more than we think. But i don't understand something, i'm having best perf and stability with:

    GPU: 590Mhz
    Memory: 490Mhz

    And i can't get GPU more than 630 with our without voltage modification. I did a simple thing to obtain the perfect voltage.

    Core:
    Code:
    [B]475[/B] -> [B]1.2V[/B]
    [B]590[/B] -> [COLOR="Red"]?[/COLOR]

    So ? = ~1.5V (+0.3)
    Memory:
    Code:
    [B]400[/B] -> [B]1.2V[/B]
    [B]490[/B] -> [COLOR="Red"]?"[/COLOR]

    So ?" = ~1.47V (+0.27)
    So, we need to mount voltage to: 1.2 + (0.3 + 0.27) = 1.77Volt.

    Am i wrong ? With or Without, i get same result it's same stability and perf. but if i increase each frequencies, with or without voltage it freeze.

    You are assuming that voltage requirements increase linearly with frequency increase, right?

    Well, that might not be the case with the core and/or memory. In some cases, when you reach the upper limits of OC potential voltage requirements can become a little difficult to predict. Sometimes you might only need to push the voltage up by .1 rather than .3 and other times you might need to increase it a huge amount to get even a little more performance.

    If the voltage requirements happen to be linear, I'd assume that your calculations are correct. Otherwise, you might try a smaller increase in voltage (.1V) and see if that works more effectively.

    Also, it is somewhat possible that the card just can't handle the OC you are attempting.

    Guys are having those frequencies with the same Card (DDRII 8600M GT) without new voltage.
    I can't understand... BTW, i'm gonna put back old voltages...

    Is it possible they are using the GDDR3 version of the card and underclocking it?

    Meh , I dont think its worth overclockin anymore , I did it a few times and i got around 500 points more in 3d mark 06 , i also tried different drivers and they SUCKED.

    to be honest i think many guys in this forum who say that they get 4500+ points with the Geforce 8600 m gt ( ddr2) are liars , i doubt u could get more than 4100 on windows xp.

    I agree to a point.

    With GPU @ 600, Mem @ 500 (1000 effective) I get 4150 3DMark06. I bumped it up to 625/520 since that is the max stable I can get with one run of 3DMark (maybe 2) and it only goes up like 50-75 points. So you'd probably have to run with GPU @ 700 / Mem @ 600 to get closer to 4500. And getting those speeds is highly unprobable to run stable or at decent temps.

    Okey, i agree too, btw, in two days i will receive 2BG Kingston 800Mhz, and a new HDD (Everything in my sign), i aslo made my own windows version, and like this i will format everything and test everything with new configs.

    If i can't go upper than actually that mean some guys are lying...

    I can't go that high with memory, it will instantly freeze in any games, or becnhmark i will test, let's wait for my new config.

    Btw, is their any way to modify the GPU's memory's voltage ? ^^

    I'm surprised that the 8600m gt memory goes up to 500... mine becomes unstable at around 450.

    Oo me suprised some can push memory to 550. Btw, tomorow will receive new ram & new HDD. As we all know, computer is not a good science...

    If i feal any changement, you will be first advised...

    Say what you say, heres my current clock job 635/1270/565, and my 3dmark 06 score is 4706

    but as i understand, my notebook can handle some very unusual clocks

    and i forgot to state that my stock clock is 475/950/400, and lets performance wise, i get ~8-9 fps in crysis without OC, and i get ~22 fps OC'd

    Nibitor, Tools > Read Bios > Select devise... then Tools > Read Bios > Read into Nibitor.

    Anyone here tested some voltage ? Or Anything ?

    rigth...

    i have the 8700...thing is that nibitor only shows me the voltages the card uses...the other available vids don´t identify which voltages are associated with them so....i would like to push the performance 3D vid just a little (0,01v or 0,02v) but i see no way..

    I changed the vgpu to 1.3v from 1.2v yesterday and flashed, there was no change in vgpu.

    You would probably have to hard mod your GPU in order to increase voltage. Not sure if a bios flash would do any actual voltage change at all in the first place.

    Could you gave us your voltage ? Show us what you got like this we can try some voltage for our 8600M GT. Thx.

    To push up the voltage use Nibitor. Tools > Read Bios > Select Devise then Tools > Read Bios > Read from Nibitor.

    Then Tools voltage table and modify voltage as your wish.

    I change my 8600M GT volt to see how good it is .It works like a charm(I can OC bit more) but heat is going up so i reflash to default voltages .

    ^What...? Do you have any way to prove when you changed the voltages that it actually changed? You can extend the voltage table all you would like and put 1.3, 1.4 or whatever and that doesn't necessarily mean it will change. Some cards simply cannot change voltage in that manor. I had changed my 8600m GT's BIOS from 1.2 to 1.3, and there was no change what so ever in overclockablity to the core. And currently I can't think of any programs that would read our 8600's vgpu. Care to share?

    Anyway i think i killed my 3D Card; many thing are slow, lost 50% of my fps. So i will send my computer back to dell... ><
