Hello
I'm thinking to get Sony Vaio Z.
I'm just wondering how good is GeForce 9300M (128MB and 256MB) compare to GeForce 7700M (512MB)?
Because I currently own an Asus A8js with Geforce 7700 and it is a good graphic card compare to the laptop's size. I just want to know if this new graphic card can play games decently like the 7700..
Thanks

I am not entirely sure, but I believe the 7700 card is still quite stronger than the 9300. Mainly because the 7700 was the strongest medium range card back at its time, and usually low end cards don't improve much... but! at most, they should have the same performance which would mean hardly an upgrade.
I would advice, if you want to do some gaming, get at least an 8600M/9500M card (or Ati 2600/HD3650).
if you want a 14 inch laptop with good graphics card the Asus F8va-B1 is a good little laptop that packs quite a punch in performance. -
I think I'll stick with Vaio Z because I really need portability.
Thanks a lot -
Chk Wikipedia on it. Bus architecture is very important determining factor.
Geforce 9300? Is it good?
